The Sidney Memorial Public Library is Solar Powered!

In April 2003, the library received a $52,000 grant from the New York State Energy Research and Development Authority (NYSERDA) to install solar panels on the building's roof. These panels were installed by ETM Solar Works of Endicott. Ten-percent of the library's energy comes from this source.

To learn more about our solar panels, read an article from The Daily Star. The library's past and present energy useage is available in PDF format here.
