Phil Shapiro and Carrie Shore: The American Folk Tradition March 20, 2008- Phil Shapiro is a folk singer and guitarist, and Carrie Shore plays the fiddle and sings. We all enjoyed a wonderful program of folk music, both new and old.

Mindy Pfeffer brought her one woman show to the Sidney Library on May 20. The show was entitled "Out of the Box." Pictured below are scenes in which Mindy humorously shared her feelings about men she never dated (left) and with the help of audience volunteers (right) played a convicted criminal waiting for both a marriage license and jail time.

Sy Lloyd, of Otego, NY, visited the library on May 13 with a menagerie of skeletal mammals, reptiles, birds, amphibians, and even a crab.

Author of Catskill Region Waterfall Guide, Russell Dunn with his wife, Barbara Dunn. Their next book, on the stories associated with hiking trails of the Albany area, will be coauthored by both Russell and Barbara. Their presentation on waterfalls of the Catskills, on February 5th, 2006, was enjoyed by an enthusiastic group of waterfall watchers.
