These resources, except where indicated, are made possible by NOVEL, the New York Online Virtual Electronic Library, which connects New Yorkers to 21st century information via local public libraries. The NOVEL Databases Program is currently funded by temporary federal Library Services and Technology Act funds awarded to the New York State Library by the Institute of Museum and Library Services. Permanent state funding for NOVEL is proposed in New Century Libraries, an initiative from the Board of Regents that is currently before the Legislature. |
