We house a vast collection of local Chenango County history and genealogical materials. The collection consists of Census records, Bible records, vital statistics, cemetery records for Chenango and Madison counties.

Obituary Collection

There are 100 plus books with individual indexes. The collection was started in 1981 when the obituaries were clipped from our local newspaper. Years prior to 1981 were obtained through donations and our research.

Glen Buell Newspaper Collection

Volumes 1-9 are taken from the back page of the Saturday Utica Globe Newspaper covering 1900-1916. Contains general news of Norwich, births, deaths, marriages & divorces.Indexes are in front of photocopied volumes.
You can browse through Family files for 2000 surnames and local newspapers on microfilm. Also available are service records for veterans from Chenango County from the Civil War through World War II.
