How the Program Works

1.  The summer reading club is available for children from birth through the age of twelve.

2.  Registration for the reading club will begin Monday, June 29, 2009.

3.  Children should write each book that they read on their reading log. 

4.  Children will receive ONE small prize each week for reading.

5.  For every five books read children will receive a raffle ticket to enter the weekly drawing for a large prize.

6.  For children that are reading chapter books each chapter equals one book.  For example, if you are reading a chapter book that has ten chapters that would count as ten books.

7.  Parents may read to children that are unable to read for themselves.

8.  The books read must be age appropriate and at the child’s reading level.
