- MAKE A PIRATE SPYGLASS!You will need:
2 paper towel tubes or two toilet paper tubes.
Construction paper of any color
A piece of clear plastic film like plastic wrap
Scissors
Glue
Crayons or markers
Cut one of the tubes up the side so that it can be
flattened out. Color a treasure map on the top!
For the other tube, cut a square of plastic film to fit
over one end of the tube. Glue it on the end.
Cut a piece of construction paper to fit around the
tube. Decorate the outside of it. Glue all over the inside
of the construction paper and wrap the tube up in it.
Roll the tube you have cut up the side so it will fit
inside the whole tube. The spyglass works by pulling this
inside tube in and out, creating the illusion of things
getting closer and farther away.
